Jack began his dedicated legal career in the area of criminal law as a clerk for the Illinois Attorney General while attending law school. After graduating in 2003, Jack was offered a position in the Medicaid Fraud Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General, where he prosecuted complex white collar and financial crimes.

In 2006, Jack accepted an appointment as an Assistant State's Attorney in Will County. As a well-respected prosecutor in Will County, Jack disposed of hundreds of criminal cases with offenses ranging from DUI to first degree murder. Jack has acted as first chair on over fifty bench trials and over thirty jury trials. Richard Schmack was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Berwyn, Illinois. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois in 1977 with double majors in Political Science and History. In 1980 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

Upon graduation from law school in 1980, Richard was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar. Richard has made DeKalb County his home since1985. He, his wife, Jackie, who is his office manager, and their sons reside in Sycamore.

Prior to opening his private practice in 1989, Richard served as an Assistant DeKalb County State's Attorney, handling misdemeanor and traffic prosecution, as well as child support enforcement. In his capacity as the civil assistant, Richard represented DeKalb County in lawsuits in Federal and State courts, served as legal advisor to all departments of County government, and represented the County's Zoning Board of Appeals, gaining valuable knowledge of the County's zoning ordinances and regulations.

In private practice Richard is a general practitioner well versed in the areas of Adoptions, Bankruptcy, Criminal Misdemeanors and Felonies, Traffic, DUI, Guardianships, Juvenile Law, Real Estate, Wills & Estates, and Zoning.

Denice A. Gierach is a business lawyer with almost 30 years of experience representing business owners in the formation, franchising, and dissolution of businesses; representing employers in matters of employment and age discrimination in the workplace; and aiding individuals in matters of advanced estate planning, charitable giving, Medicare and Medicaid, and Social Security.

Ms. Gierach worked for the firm of Barnard & Barnard in Chicago for almost 10 years at the start of her legal career. For almost twenty years, she practiced as Gierach & Associates and recently founded The Gierach Law Firm to provide better service to her clients.

From the beginning of her legal career, Ms. Gierach provided legal services to individuals and small and mid-sized companies in the areas of business, estate planning, taxation, employment law, commercial real estate, succession planning. COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES
As an active member of her community, Ms. Gierach is a past member of the Exchange Club and is a present member of both the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Naperville. Ms. Gierach also acts as the Director for both the Heritage YMCA and Naperville Area Humane Society.

Daniel Lauber has been handling the most challenging land-use cases for decades. The skills developed in over 24 years of winning zoning approval for such LULUs (Locally Unwanted Land Uses) as group homes, halfway houses, and recovery communities have translated well to winning zoning approval for commercial uses adjacent to residential areas and multi-family housing in communities known for their resistance. Mr. Lauber's background as a city planner enables him to better understand and anticipate neighborhood objections -- and devise ways to prevent them. Mr. Lauber also practices Fair Housing law, especially for group homes, halfway houses, and recovery communities for people with disabilities. He has frequently served as a legal and planning consultant to jurisdictions to bring their zoning for group homes into compliance with the nation's Fair Housing Act.

Mr. Lauber has also served many times as an expert witness in zoning and fair housing cases before zoning boards and in court.
