John W. Robinson III is an attorney with 19 years of litigation experience representing people and business throughout Mississippi. John's primary focus is civil litigation-non-criminal cases in court, usually involving claims for money damages. John also counsels and represents clients in contract negotiations and other business transactions. Over the last ten years, i have practiced in several large law firms in the Jackson and surrounding areas as well as served as a law clerk for the honorable Leslie Southwick on the Mississippi Court of Appeals. In April 2010, I dediced to start the law office of Michael Moore, PPLC, where I will work diligently to provide personal attention and excellent legal services to my clients.

James has practiced in Mississippi since 1981, after gaining degrees at Millsaps College in Political Science and at the University of Mississippi. He works with the twenty five attorney firm of Page Kruger & Holland in Jackson where he defends commercial, personal injury, product liability and premises litigation. He has completed over a hundred jury trials and has many reported decisions in both State and Federal courts.

He carries an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He is currently serving on the Mississippi Supreme Court's Civil Jury Instruction Committee as Vice Chair and has just completed work as the Vice Chair of the Business Court Committee, appointed by Mississippi's Secretary of State, Delbert Hoseman. He was chairman of the Mississippi Bar's Summer School Committee which presents continuing legal education for Mississippi's lawyers beginning on July 13, 2009. He was recently made a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

He is in the middle of a three year term on the Board of Directors for the DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar, as the Regional Director for the Southern Region made up of Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. He serves on DRI's Strategic Planning Committee, is Vice Chairmen of the SLDO Relationship Committee and is the Board liaison for DRI's Appellate Advocacy Committee In the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association he has served in several capacities, including President. He has been chairman of and a speaker for several of its continuing programs.

This year he was selected to the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys [ADTA] and has been selected to the Best Lawyers in America for 2011 in Commercial and Products Liability Litigation.

He is a member of the Hinds County Bar, Mississippi Bar, Fifth Circuit Bar and Federal Bar Association. Ronald C. Morton, LL.M., CELA, is the founding member of the Morton Law Firm, PLLC. His statewide practice is focused on estate planning, asset protection planning, elder law, business planning, and Medicaid planning. Mr. Morton graduated cum laude from Mississippi College in 1988 with a double major in public administration and applied sociology. In 1992 he earned a Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. He was awarded a Masters of Law in Taxation with Honors from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2007, and has earned the designation of Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation.

Mr. Morton is a respected legal scholar and has written numerous articles for various legal publications. He was a co-author of Mississippi Rules Annotated (Supp. 1994), and author of Rules, Rulemaking, and the Ruled: The Mississippi Supreme Court as Self-proclaimed Ruler, a law review article on the inherent power of Mississippi courts to make procedural rules, which was published at 12 Miss. C.L. Rev. 293 in 1992. Mr. Morton has also written two chapters on procedural discovery in West’s Mississippi Civil Procedure, and was a contributing author to the Civil Procedure chapter in West’s Encyclopedia of Mississippi Law. Additionally, he authored the chapters on Driving While Under the Influence, Limited Liability Companies and Partnerships for West’s Encyclopedia of Mississippi Law.

While in law school, Mr. Morton served as Managing Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review. As a student, he was admitted as a Pupil, and later as a Barrister, in the American Inns of Court, Charles Clark Inn. He is currently licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Louisiana. He has been an active member of the Mississippi Bar for 15 years, and is former Chairman of The Mississippi Bar’s Technology Committee. Morton currently serves on that Committee’s Executive Committee. Ronald Morton was awarded the Mississippi Bar’s Distinguished Service Award in 2005 for his work in education and law office technology for members of the bar throughout the state.

Ronald Morton recognizes that education is a lifetime pursuit and receives a minimum of 36 hours of continuing legal education each year, triple what is required in his profession. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a nationwide group of select attorneys dedicated to excellence in estate planning. He is also a member of the preeminent organization dedicated to the development of elder law and special needs planning, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Likewise, he is a longtime member of WealthCounsel, a group of over 1,500 estate planning lawyers around the country, as well as The Advisor’s Forum, an organization of lawyers and other estate planning professionals focused on interdisciplinary collaborative planning for clients.

Mr. Morton serves in his church, First Baptist Church of Jackson, as a Deacon, and is currently chairman of its Visitation Committee. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Baptist Homes, Inc., a public charity that operates Son Valley, a residential community for the mentally retarded. He is currently President of that organization. Ronald Morton has been married 16 years to the former Cynthia Sims of Meridian. The couple has twin boys, currently 11 years old, who attend school in Clinton. His family enjoys skiing, trips to the beach, and bicycling.
