I was born in 1960 to a Navy family, graduated from high school here in Shenandoah County, attended William & Mary, the University of Richmond, and the U.S. Naval War College. Before hanging my shingle in Woodstock, I worked on the staffs of the Secretary of the Navy and the Governor of Virginia. I retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2005 as a Lieutenant Colonel. I have son born in 1999 and live at Bryce Resort.

As a former public defender and former prosecutor, I have focused on criminal law for the majority of my career. My background also brings a unique perspective to the table. I also have a good rapport with teenagers and young people after working as a juvenile prosecutor for more than two years.

The respected law firm of Campbell & Campbell, P.C. was established in 1951 by Leslie D. Campbell, and his brother Hugh Campbell joined him in practice in 1961. W. Edward Riley, IV is a trial lawyer. He is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Virginia, and has argued before the Supreme Court of Virginia and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Riley has dedicated his entire career to successfully practicing criminal and traffic defense.

Mr. Riley has tried over 150 jury trials in federal and state courts across the Commonwealth, holds the highest national legal rating with Martindale Hubbell, and has been recognized by his peers as one of the Legal Elite as published by Virginia Business Magazine, and has been selected for inclusion in 2009 Virginia Super Lawyers. He has appeared on WTVR CBS News Channel 6 and in the Richmond Times- Dispatch, as well as other media outlets, as a criminal law commentator for high profile criminal cases, and has lectured on criminal law, DUI law, and traffic law to other lawyers and judges over the last decade.

Mr. Riley's involvement within the legal community is extensive. Currently, he serves on the Virginia Trial Lawyer Association's (VTLA) Board of Governors, is Co-Chairman of its publication committee, and is a Member of both their CLE and Amicus committees. Mr. Riley is Chairman of the Virginia Fair Trial Project, a Member of the Virginia State Bar's specially created Indigent Defense Task Force, and a Member of the Supreme Court of Virginia Chief Justice Leroy Hassell's Indigent Defense Training Initiative. He also serves on the Steering Committee for the Virginia Criminal Justice Commission and is the legislative liaison between the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (VACDL) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Formerly, Mr. Riley served on the VACDL's Board of Directors, was the past Chairman of VTLA's Criminal Law Section, and served on its Legislative Committee, Litigation Support Committee, Death Penalty Committee, and Young Lawyers Leadership Committee.

Mitchell M. Wells is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Virginia, concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal law, DUI and traffic violations, and has defended hundreds of cases.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Wells served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health Care Fraud section of the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Wells was responsible for supervising various fraud investigations and litigating Virginia false claim actions in federal court pursuant to the Federal False Claims Act and the Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Wells served as a Virginia State Trooper for eight years. Mr. Wells investigated thousands of criminal, drug, DUI, traffic and accident cases; was rated "exceptional" by the Virginia State Police; and, he received 23 commendations for his exemplary service to the Commonwealth of Virginia. While attending law school, Mr. Wells was a summer law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Payne, Judge, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, and prosecuted criminal, DUI and traffic cases as an intern for the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney for Henrico County, Virginia.

Kyle G. Manikas is a trial attorney. Mr. Manikas began his legal career practicing criminal and civil litigation in New York, New York and Washington, D.C. defending individuals and large corporations during the corporate scandals that began surfacing in late 2001.
