Ken Crain has been practicing law in Williamson County, Texas, since 1985. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in June 1976. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1976 until 1981 as a surface warfare officer. He served as the repair officer (damage control assistant) on a destroyer and as the missile officer on a cruiser. He entered law school at the University of Texas in Austin in 1981 and graduated from law school in May 1984. Ken was licensed to practice law in Texas in November 1984.
Ken has spent his entire legal career in Williamson County. Ken was an Assistant County Attorney in Georgetown from January 1985 to June 1986. As a misdemeanor prosecutor, he prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor criminal cases, including DWI's, theft, theft by check, assaults, assault with family violence, shoplifting cases, driving while license suspended cases, public intoxication cases, traffic tickets, weapons offenses, possession of marijuana cases, probation revocations, and many other kinds of misdemeanor cases.
Ken has been in private practice in Georgetown for over twenty four years, since June 1986. He listens to his clients to find out what their goals and priorities are, depending upon the type of legal problem they are faced with. He believes that his clients are best served by giving them his frank and honest opinions about their cases, whether it is a family law case or a criminal case. He believes in keeping his clients informed about the status of their cases, whether it is good news or not so good news. He believes in explaining how the law applies to the facts of their cases so that the clients can make informed decisions about how to proceed with their cases.
Ken is a member of the Williamson County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
