Kevin D. Kijewski, Esq., is the principal attorney at KDK Legal, PLLC, based out of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Kijewski is also the Dean of Business Administration at Baker College of Allen Park. As an experienced educator and trained economist, Kijewski strives to provide quality higher education and instruction which enable his students to be successful throughout challenging and rewarding careers. His teaching specialities are in the fields of economics, finance, and law. During his academic appointment as dean, his practice continues to help select clients navigate obstacles and achieve successful outcomes.
Before starting his private practice, Kijewski was a law clerk in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Macomb County, Mich., where he worked for Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Steve Kaplan in the cold case division. He also placed in the top five spots at the American Bar Association's National Arbitration Competition.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Kijewski participated in the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education initiative. The Alliance is a two-year service program offering participants the opportunity to serve as full-time volunteer teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools across the United States. He taught advanced placement history, economics, and politics courses at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Denver, Colorado. His redesigned social science curriculum made his school a top twenty national school in the areas of civic and social science education for two consecutive years.
Raised in metropolitan Detroit, Kijewski holds active memberships in the Michigan Bar Association, the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Detroit, and the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Mich.
