An honors graduate of UC-Berkeley and Harvard Law School, Neil Shouse served five years as Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County. He prosecuted more than 60 criminal trials, and handled more than 1,000 evidentiary hearings. He earned a reputation as one of the toughest and most successful trial prosecutors, with an astounding 96% success rate in felony criminal jury trials to verdict.

As a trial prosecutor, Mr. Shouse's cases ranged from DUIs and drug charges to complex, high profile murders. He worked in close partnership with police, detectives, the California Highway Patrol, criminalists and fellow prosecutors.

Among his cases was the successful prosecution of Shadae Schmidt, a college student who shot and killed her mother and then staged a fake robbery scene. Shadae Schmidt was defended at the trial by Michael Jackson lawyer Thomas Messereau.

Mr. Shouse frequently speaks as a guest legal commentator on national television. He has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, Court TV, Fox News Channel and Public Television.

Prior to serving as a trial prosecutor, Mr. Shouse was a litigator for several of the nation's top law firms, including the global law firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood. In that role, he represented such clients as AT&T, Microsoft, Metropolitan Life, Western Union and KPMG.

Jerod Gunsberg represents clients in all state and federal criminal matters, from first time misdemeanors to violent offenses to complex white collar matters. He is also deeply involved in emerging areas of criminal law such as medical marijuana defense, financial elder abuse, and computer crime.

After extensive training from some of the top criminal trial attorneys in Los Angeles, Jerod Gunsberg quickly amassed a track record of excellent results and a reputation as an aggressive advocate who fights hard for clients while still maintaining respectful and productive relationships with prosecutors and law enforcement. As a former executive in the music industry, Jerod brings decades of real-world experience to the table. Jerod also has a keen interest in defending teens and children in delinquency court. He is an alumni of Loyola Law School's Center for Juvenile Law and Policy, he received an award from the National Clinical Legal Education Association for his outstanding work defending minors facing criminal charges. Jerod was awarded a post-graduate Public Interest Corps Fellowship as an adviser on juvenile delinquency issues for Public Counsel's Children Rights Project. He has spoken about the rights of minors in the criminal justice system for the Constitutional Rights Foundation and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Jerod received his undergraduate degree from New York University. He received his law degree from Loyola Law School where he was awarded First Honors in Loyola's nationally lauded Trial Advocacy program. Jerod is admitted to practice in California State Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Lance Claery has been successfully practicing family law for more than seven years. He has worked with a diverse client base ranging from multi-millionaires to low income, modest means clients. He started his career as an attorney working with one of Southern California's most experienced family law attorneys. Thereafter, Mr. Claery began working for one of Southern California's busiest and most prestigious law firms. He was made a partner of that firm very quickly and has since worked on hundreds of divorces and other family law matters. Mr. Claery has handled trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, hearings and emergency hearings with success. During law school, he worked with a bright, fair and aggressive family law attorney; this is when he discovered that family law was his calling. Helping individuals and families has always been a passion for Mr. Claery. He participated in the University of Maryland's internship program with the well known Hope Housing project. Here, he was able to help families in the poorest sections of Washington, D.C. work together to develop enrichment programs for children in a cooperative setting.

Mr. Claery's commitment to an open line of communication with his firm's clients sets him apart from other attorneys. He is admitted to the United States District Court and has zealously handled and worked on security clearance matters across the country. Mr. Claery's other accomplishments include making the Dean's List at the University of Maryland, and acquiring both series seven and series sixty six licenses; this experience has helped him understand all types of assets and investments. He is a member of the California BAR Association and the Washington, D.C. BAR Association as well as the Los Angeles County and San Diego County BAR Associations.
