In addition, while working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Criminal History Systems Board (CHSB) in the Field Services Division assisting both State and Federal law enforcement authorities in their use of the national and local criminal records databases.

Mr. Alves is native of Portugal and speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. He resides in Providence, where he has lived most of his life. Mr. Alves serves on the Board of Directors for the Samaritans of Rhode Island and the Friends of Rochambeau Library on the East Side of Providence.
