Robert Sneed has more than eleven (11) years' of experience in all aspects of litigation. Robertâs primary focus of practice is in the area of personal injury and wrongful death, products and premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, estates, domestic matters, general tort litigation, and corporate formation and representation.

Robert has tried numerous jury and non-jury trials, representing plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts in Georgia and other jurisdictions. He has appeared before arbitral forums such as the American Arbitration Association, and has successfully mediated hundreds of civil cases in Georgia.

Prior to forming McConnell & Sneed, Robert previously served as a trial lawyer with the Property Team at Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, where he regularly defended the interests of insurance companies and their insureds. Prior to that, Robert was a trial lawyer at Weinstock & Scavo, P.C., where he aggressively represented the interests of his clients within Georgia and in other jurisdictions. Robert has also served as in-house counsel for Infinity Property & Casualty Company, where he defended insureds in third party civil actions and was instrumental in drafting insurance policy language in various states across the country. Steve McConnell has more than fifteen (15) years of litigation experience. Representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants, he regularly practices in State and Federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He has also assisted numerous clients in resolving matters before arbitral forums such as the American Arbitration Association, and has successfully mediated a wide variety of civil cases throughout Georgia.

Prior to forming McConnell & Sneed, Steve was a trial lawyer at Weinstock & Scavo, P.C. where he aggressively represented the interests of his clients within Georgia and throughout the country. He was earlier with the Atlanta office of Mabry & McClelland, LLP, focusing his practice on the representation of insurers and their insureds, as well as self insured corporations, in the defense of liability claims.

Steve is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He previously served on active duty as a Marine Judge Advocate where he prosecuted cases as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, and tried numerous jury and non-jury trials. In 2003, he deployed for Operations Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle as the Staff Judge Advocate for the Marine Corps Central CommandÃ¢s expeditionary anti-terrorist camp in Djibouti, Africa. Active in the Reserves, Steve is presently the Commanding Officer of a 1,200 Marine battalion in Charlotte, NC.

James M. Roth (Jim) grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He pursued his undergraduate studies and received his Bachelors Degree with Honors. Mr. Roth worked for a year in Public Service and then enrolled at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

While attending law school, he was a member of the Trial Competition Team, an organization consistently ranked among the top tier of competitive court programs across the country. Jim participated in several Mock Trial competitions while at law school, and won the Haley Trial Competition--the most prestigious competition in the program.

He served as a contributor of the Pro Confessio, a publication of Cumberland Law School.

After earning his law degree, Jim began his professional career as an In-house Trial Counsel for State Farm Insurance Company. While there, he handled cases ranging from personal injury car wrecks to multi-defendant complex liability litigation. Jim has also practiced defense work for several major insurance carriers including Allstate, Progressive, Farmers, and U.S.A.A.

When Mr. Roth opened THE ROTH FIRM, he has dedicated the law practice 100% to representing individuals harmed by the negligence of others. He has represented clients injured as the result of car crashes, tractor-trailer wrecks, as well as unsafe business areas/unsafe premises.

Jim participates at all levels of local and national bar organizations and other law-related community activities including the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Personal Injury Association.

In addition to his professional representation, Jim has lectured and presented seminars on complex discovery, witness interviews, case preparation, computerized research, as well as various other topics.

Jim focuses on serious automobile as well as complex trucking and common carrier wrecks, wrongful death, slip and fall, and commercial litigation.
