Steven J. Glaros grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University where he graduated Cum Laude and received the Roy E. Hyde Award for Top Graduate in Major.

Steven attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received his Juris Doctor after only two years in the school's accelerated program. While there he participated in the American Bar Association, Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity.

Initially, Steven worked under then Attorney General Charlie Crist for the State of Florida as an Assistant Attorney General in St. Petersburg, Florida. As an Assistant Attorney General he researched, drafted pleadings and litigated thousands of trials. Thereafter, he joined a law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida as their primary family law associate. While there he managed a high number of primarily family law cases; his emphasis being divorce, child custody, domestic violence injunctions, and dependency.

Steven became a solo practitioner where he represented mostly family law matters. Steven's experience includes representation of several divorcing wives of other Family Law attorneys and has prevailed in many highly contested custody battles. Steven has completed the Supreme Court of Florida certification course for family law mediators and will soon be a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Law Mediator.

In his spare time, Steven has volunteered for a variety of community interest projects. He volunteers at the annual Lawfest Workshop in St. Petersburg providing free legal advice to attendees. Steven volunteers for the guardian ad litem program assisting children within the legal system. He's hosted benefits for the animals of the Humane Society and post Katrina, he collected and distributed necessary aid to its victims then spent three weeks assisting in the clean-up.

Steven was raised in a family of divorce. He has personal knowledge of the effects divorce has on children as he lived through similar situations that you and your children may be experiencing. He is dedicated to your case but more importantly the best interests and needs of your children.

I have resided in the Tampa Bay Area since 1975. I graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School in 1987 and the University of South Florida in Tampa in 1991. From 1993 until graduating in 1995, I attended Stetson University College of Law, in Gulfport, Florida. While in law school, I served as a student intern at the Pinellas County State Attorney's Office. As an intern, I argued motions and participated in trial in the misdemeanor County Court. After law school, for six years I served as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Pinellas County. As a prosecutor, I tried more than 60 jury trials including Murder, Capital Sexual Battery, Armed Sexual Battery, Trafficking in Cocaine, and DUI. I served as a Lead Trial Attorney in Misdemeanor County Court where I was responsible for overseeing 5 prosecutors in my division. I also served as a prosecutor in the North County Traffic Division. While there, I investigated, prosecuted, and tried numerous DUI and criminal traffic offenses. As a Felony Prosecutor, I specialized in the prosecution and investigation of both Domestic Violence and Child Abuse offenses. While in those positions, I received invaluable training in the form of seminars, continuing education, and the hands on experience of conducting countless investigations of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse cases up to and including trial. Furthermore, I served on the DUI Manslaughter Squad. The DUI Manslaughter Squad is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of DUI related fatalities. Often members of the DUI Manslaughter Squad are called from their homes in the early morning hours to respond to a DUI Manslaughter crime scene to assist law enforcement in the initial investigation of those cases.

In 2002, I entered private practice as an associated attorney with the law firm of Beltz & Ruth, P.A. While there I represented persons injured as a result of negligence due to motor vehicle liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home liability.

After Beltz & Ruth, P.A., I opened my own practice in the area of criminal defense and general civil practice. I have more than 12 years of litigation experience. Mr. Wells has been a member of the Florida Bar for over 22 years. He has represented both insurers and their insureds over the course of his career and has practiced extensively in the Central Florida/Tampa Bay area for many years. She received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut. Maria received honors for Academic Achievement in Juvenile Law, Service to the Community and the Connecticut Title Insurance Company.

Initially, Maria was a law clerk for Yale Law School where she conducted research and prepared updated policies to conform with Federal Regulations. Thereafter, she worked as an associate for a law firm in New Haven, Connecticut where she handled thousands of personal injury claims, as well as condominium administration cases. Because of the long winters, she relocated back to Daytona Beach, Florida and worked as an Assistant State Attorney throughout the 7th Judicial Circuit prosecuting such offenses as DUI, drug possession, theft and battery.

Maria went into private practice where she handles criminal law, personal injury, labor law, and family law cases. She has tried a variety of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to DUI with serious bodily injury. Maria’s civil experience ranges from contract work, auto accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, premise liability and various business law matters. Maria has represented thousands of injured persons.

She also served as General Counsel and Associate General Counsel to public employee labor unions representing members (mostly law enforcement) for duty related incidents, filing grievances and negotiating contracts. Her duties also included serving as the critical incident respondent and team legal participant for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Law Enforcement League. Maria has trained and represented hundreds of law enforcement officers in matters involving the use of deadly force.

Maria is also a former Adjunct Professor of Keiser University where she taught Business Law and Criminal Law.

In her spare time, Maria volunteered by assisting the New Haven Housing Authority and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice as their attorney. Maria also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
