Kristi Smith joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in March 2010 and since that time, has worked as an associate in the Atlanta office on both Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 cases. Jan Hulstedt joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in 2010. Mr. Hulstedt is an associate in the Firm’s Chapter 7 Department and frequently assists the Litigation Department. Prior to joining Robert J. Semrad & Associates, Mr. Hulstedt practiced foreclosure defense and family law.

Mr. Hulstedt received a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Hulstedt was a member of the National Moot Court Team and the Dean’s List. Mr. Hulstedt externed for the Honorable George Perez, Chief Judge of the Minnesota Tax Court.

Mr. Hulstedt was born in Northampton, England and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Hulstedt received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Information Systems Analysis & Design with a specialization in International Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.

Jessica L. Casto joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates, LLC in 2008 and is an associate in the Atlanta Office. Ms. Casto has been practicing bankruptcy law since 2008. Elizabeth Placek joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in 2008, and is an associate in the firm’s Illinois Chicago office. She is a member of the firm’s bankruptcy department. Janna Quarless joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in 2007 and is an associate in the Chicago office. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tubay received a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. Christian D. Elenbaas joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates, L.L.C. in February, 2010 and is an associate in the litigation department at the Chicago Loop office. Nic Perino joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in 2006. He is a senior associate and a member of both the bankruptcy and litigation departments. Mr. Perino’s primary practice focus is counseling and representing Debtors in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy. Mr. Perino has successfully defended and settled numerous adversary proceedings relating to allegations of fraud against consumer debtors.

Mr. Perino also serves on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court’s volunteer attorney panel. Members of the panel help represent indigent parties on a pro bono basis in discrete adversary proceedings and contested matters.

Mr. Perino earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Perino worked for the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General. A member of the Charitable Trusts and Organizations division, he helped enforce the proper use of gifts from deceased individuals to the Commonwealth’s numerous charitable organizations.

Jordan Van Matre joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates, LLC in 2010 and is an associate in the Atlanta Office. Mr. Van Matre has been practicing law since October 2010. Mr. Van Matre received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Liberty University School of Law in May 2010. Marcie Venturini joined Robert J. Semrad & Associates in 2002. She is a senior associate and a member of the bankruptcy department. John Lynch became interested in debt relief and bankruptcy before he went to Law School. John was employed at Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida, which at that time was the second largest airline in the US. Eastern Airlines filed for bankruptcy in 1990 and by 1991 it had closed its doors. John knew so many people that could not find work, had cars repossessed and faced mounting debt. Then, in 1992 Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida and Pan Am airlines also closed its doors. By that time John was a Paralegal and owner of a Title Company.
