Timothy P. Martin, a resident of DuPage County, is a Partner with the LAW OFFICES OF MARTIN & KENT, LLC. Mr. Martin received his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, Mr. Martin served as an associate editor of the John Marshall Law Review. His work on the law review lead to a nationally published article in the area of criminal law.

In 2009, Tim Martin was elected President of the DuPage County Criminal Defense Bar Association. He was re-elected President by his peers for the calendar year 2010. Additionally, he also serves as a Director of the entire Bar Association of DuPage County.

Mr. Martin has 17 years of legal experience. He was initially hired by Attorney General and former DuPage State's Attorney Jim Ryan as a Prosecutor. While in the State's Attorneys Office, Mr. Martin prosecuted over 2,500 Misdemeanor cases. He successfully conducted over 900 Bench and Jury trials on all types of cases. Mr. Martin prosecuted over 500 Felony cases ranging from Aggravated Battery to Murder. He regularly served on the Felony Review/Screening team for Police officers. Additionally, Mr. Martin served as a trainer for newly appointed State's Attorneys and authored the Prosecutors DUI manual. As a private attorney, Mr. Martin has successfully defended over 10,000 clients on criminal charges from DUI to Murder and has gained state wide recognition for his trial advocacy skills.

Mr. Martin is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys Association. He has served on the campaign committee staff in both campaigns for Attorney General Jim Ryan in 1994 and 1998. Mr. Martin has also served in local and statewide politics. Mr. Martin was recently published in the DuPage county Bar Association Journal in June, 2004 authoring an article that advocating the halt of Excited Utterance Statements of trial evidence following the U.S. Supreme Court case of Crawford v. Washington, 448, 100 S. CT. 2531 (2004). More recently, the Governor has appointed Mr. Martin to the position of Commissioner on the Illinois Racing Board where he regularly adjudicates appeals brought to the board by various litigants.

Donald J. Ramsell was born on November 28, 1958. He is married to his wife Veronica, and has two daughters, Jennifer and Anne. He is a resident of St. Charles, Illinois. His interests include golf, Corvettes, the Cubs, travel, and winning cases.

Donald J. Ramsell is the only Illinois DUI defense attorney to appear and argue on an Illinois DUI case before the United States Supreme Court in its entire 213 years of existence.

In 2008, Donald Ramsell began hearings ordered by the Illinois Supreme Court regarding the validity and reliability of the police field sobriety test known as 'horizontal gaze nystagmus'. This issue is being carefully followed by prosecutors, judges, and DUI Defense Attorneys across the country.

In 2007, Ramsell was nominated and recognized as a Sustaining Member of the National College for DUI Defense.

In 2006, Ramsell successfully fought and obtained orders compelling the ISP Breath Testing Section to begin downloading and turning over the internal memory of the breath testing machines, which has revealed numerous errors in breath testing equipment being used across Illinois.

In 2005, Chicago Magazine named Donald Ramsell an "Illinois Super Lawyer". He has been so identified again in 2006 2007 and 2009.

Also in 2005, Donald Ramsell became the first Illinois attorney ever to become Board Certified in the area of DUI Defense under the American Bar Association's standards, through the National College for DUI Defense.

In 2004, the Chicago Sun Times identified Mr. Ramsell as one of the top 5 DUI Defense Attorneys in the State of Illinois.

In 1999, after a two year investigation, Ramsell discovered that the Department of Public Health had failed to perform critical testing on breath testing equipment, causing test results to be suppressed across the state. Later that same year, the IDPH was forced to turn over control of the entire program to the State Police.

In 1998, Ramsell successfully proved that the Intoxilyzer 5000 (Series 6400 and 6600) breath testing instrument software had been rigged to produce false negative air blank results, causing all breath tests using that model to become inadmissible in the State of Illinois.

In 1988, Ramsell discovered that the statewide breath testing program was falsifying testing documents, again causing thousands of tests to become suspect.

In 1986, Donald J. Ramsell discovered that the statewide breath testing program was using questionable procedures in certifying breathalyzers, causing thousands of tests to become disputed, and forcing immediate changes in the program.

John Lynch became interested in debt relief and bankruptcy before he went to Law School. John was employed at Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida, which at that time was the second largest airline in the US. Eastern Airlines filed for bankruptcy in 1990 and by 1991 it had closed its doors. John knew so many people that could not find work, had cars repossessed and faced mounting debt. Then, in 1992 Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida and Pan Am airlines also closed its doors. By that time John was a Paralegal and owner of a Title Company. He worked as a bankruptcy Paralegal throughout law school. Right after his graduation from Nova Southeastern Law School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida he made the decision to relocate to Illinois.

John began working at a Real Estate law firm in the Western Suburbs just as he was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1999. His interest in debt relief continued in Illinois and he began representation in bankruptcy cases along with foreclosure defense and real estate closings. After five years at the firm, John started his own practice specializing in bankruptcy.

As the bankruptcy laws began to change, John found it both challenging and interesting. Through his participation in the National Bankruptcy Institute and the American Bankruptcy Institute he studied the new laws and the resulting effects on his clients. As other lawyers were getting out of bankruptcy practice, John was doing the opposite and becoming familiar with the new laws and the affect they would have on clients. Mr. Shaw attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and graduated from Illinois College, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983. William V. McGrath is a native of the Chicago area, residing in DuPage County since 1985. He studied History and Political Science at Marquette University , receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University in 1973. Mr. McGrath was awarded his law degree from John Marshall Law School in 1977. He was elected to that law school's Law Review in his second year, graduated in the top 10% of his class, and received his degree cum laude. From law school Mr. McGrath joined a boutique civil litigation firm on LaSalle Street in Chicago , and began practicing state and federal business, real estate and construction litigation and transactional law. Mr. McGrath became a partner in that firm prior to opening his own law offices in the Chicago loop.
As the principal of his law offices, Mr. McGrath was responsible for all aspects of that practice, including client counseling, legal drafting, contract negotiation/drafting, deposition, motion, trial and appellate practice in Cook, DuPage and Will counties. He also appeared in Federal trial and appellate courts. He was trial and appellate attorney in the Federal District Court and 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for the successful plaintiffs in Boden v. McCain, collecting a $6 million recovery cited by the Jury Verdict Reporter and Chicago Daily Law bulletin as a top 10 business verdict of the year. In 2005, Mr. McGrath was appellate counsel in obtaining reversal of an adverse trial court judgment in a commercial real estate brokerage commission case involving the sale of a parcel of real estate valued at $10.8 million. On retrial, Mr. McGrath obtained judgment in favor of the real estate broker in the amount of $540,000 based on implied contract. Recent trials to verdict include cases involving claimed prescriptive easement on commercial real estate, and breach of builder's implied warranty of habitability.
Mr. McGrath has long represented one of Chicago 's largest commercial roofing contractors. In the course of that representation he has been involved in mechanic's lien and construction litigation involving McCormick Place, 2 Prudential Towers, the Hotel Sofitel, 900 N. Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park and numerous public and university construction projects. He represents the Chicagoland Roofers Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee of the Roofers Union and Illinois Roofing Contractors, and a major national roofing materials company.
In his leisure hours, Mr. McGrath enjoys playing piano and golfing.

I am a native Chicagoan, and moved to DuPage County in 1972.

I attended DePaul Law School full-time in the evening, while working for one of the major trust companies in the Chicago Loop. I therefore received extensive training and experience in Estate Planning, Probate and Tax matters, and have practiced in those areas for over 30 years.

My first employment after law school was with a Chicago law firm that specialized in Real Estate and Real Estate Development matters. I worked for them for several years, adding extensive experience in both residential and commercial real estate transactions and commercial real estate development to my legal expertise.

As a private practitioner in DuPage County, I continued practicing in these fields, and added representation of clients in divorce and other domestic and family related matters. I have now represented hundreds of clients relative to dissolution of their marriages. Several judges have also appointed me as Guardian ad-litem or attorney for children in troubled situations or in complex divorce cases.

I feel that my expertise in each of these areas compliment the other. For example, complex divorces often involve real estate or business holdings, with the accompanying valuation and ownership issues. Sometimes, a trust for the benefit of children is appropriate. In doing estate planning, there is often the need to plan appropriately for the second marriage situation. Real estate clients also often need to appropriately plan their estates, and to take title to their home in a manner that is consistent with their ultimate estate desires.

I was admitted to practice in the courts of Illinois in 1971 and the U.S. Federal Court in 1971, and admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court in 1992. I am a member of both the Illinois and DuPage County Bar Associations.

I have been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn for some years, and am presently the President of the club. As such, I recently accepted, on behalf of our club, the Family Shelter Services Civic Partner of the year award. We work closely with Family Shelter Services and other organizations to provide benefits to children in need.

My primary hobby is the study of history, particularly of the American Civil War period. I am the past president of two Civil War Round Tables (Chicago and Salt Creek, which meets in Glen Ellyn, Illinois), and a member of three Round Tables (Chicago, Salt Creek and Milwaukee). I have also given presentations, on a number of topics, to round tables throughout the midwest.
