I have been involved in the planning, trial and appeal of complex business litigation matters for the past 30 years.

I have represented a wide variety of clients in complex business litigation in state and federal courts throughout Texas and the United States. My practice has involved trials and appeals in such diverse litigation areas as corporate reorganization and bankruptcy, securities and business fraud, white collar-business criminal cases, anti-trust, real estate, construction, oil and gas, insurance disputes, civil rights, First Amendment issues, defense of civil and criminal contempt matters, and defense of individuals in NCAA Infractions Committee hearings. I maintain an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.

After working for one of Houston's oldest downtown law firms for two years immediately after law school, I was one of the founding partners in 1981 of the Houston business litigation boutique firm that bore my name and became prominent over the next 20 years in complex business litigation matters in Houston and throughout Texas.

In 2000, I established a solo practice in my home, The Woodlands, Texas (30 miles north of downtown Houston), in which I concentrate on personalized representation of clients in complex business litigation matters and utilization of technology applications in such representation.

I was born born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa and moved to Houston in 1972, where I worked my way through college and law school. I received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1975 from the University of Houston and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979 from the University of Houston Law Center.

I have been a lecturer at the University of Houston Law Center and the University of Texas Law School, and an author and lecturer for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Bankruptcy Seminar and the Houston Bar Association in various areas of business litigation and corporate reorganization law, as well as on the subject of legal research and weblogs.

Since February 2004, I have also maintained the popular Houston's Clear Thinkers weblog, which addresses issues of interest for the Houston legal, business, medical and academic communities. I frequently lecture on a variety of business litigation topics for private companies and citizen groups.

After graduating from Marshall High School in Marshall, Texas, Keith went on to his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station where he graduated with a degree in Political Science in 2000. After receiving his degree from Texas A&M, Keith landed a position as a safety engineering consultant in Bryan, Texas.

Keith continued working in Bryan, TX until began studying law at South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2002. Shorty after he began working with George Wilhite as a law clerk. In November of 2005, after passing the Texas Bar Exam he became an associate with Wilhite & Associates Law Firm.

I litigate, arbitrate, and try multimillion dollar disputes for individuals and businesses located in the United States and abroad. Since graduating from The University of Texas School of Law in 1984, Darryl Carter has successfully tried a broad cross-section of civil cases before judges, juries and arbitration panels. He has gotten excellent results for a range of clients, from doctors, lawyers, inventors, and business executives, to employees in the construction, distribution, software and healthcare fields. Chelsie Garza is an experienced litigator who has tried cases extensively in state and federal court. Outside of the office, Chelsie Garza's life is dedicated to her two children. In order to balance a busy litigation docket and a family life, she hones her skill of multi-tasking and exploits her inability to accept down time. Chelsie grew up sharing time between the small California Death Valley town Trona and New York/New Jersey metroplex. Not only does Chelsie work to help those who have suffered horrible injuries; she has also worked on many pro bono cases. She recently handled a case that positively changed the coming and going rule for the entire State of Texas in regards to workers' compensation. Her work on a case for former Houston Police Officer, Eluid Hinojosa, helped get him workers' compensation benefits after he was injured during the call of duty. Chelsie worked as a zealous advocate and was able to obtain a ruling that set precedent.

Chelsie is also actively working to improve the community and is a member of the Tahiri Justice Center. This organization was founded in 1997 to provide immigrant women and girls legal assistance to help them gain legal protection and immigration status under U.S. Law. While managing an extensive case load and donating her time to worthy causes, she still makes time for fun. She recently placed third in the First Annual Abraham, Watkins Skeet Shoot.
