Robert J. Allan is a barrister and solicitor and an AV rated attorney with over 30 years of international legal experience. He also co-founded the USA China Law Group, an organization dedicated to providing high quality legal and strategic business advice to individuals, businesses and corporations looking to establish and grow a business presence in China. In September 2008, Mr. Allan authored an article titled The Conflicted Duty of Chinese Lawyers, which was published in the highly esteemed National Law Journal.
He also recently spoke at the CEO Roundtable in Beijing on the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility in the US and China, as well as the UCLA US-China Business Law Conference.

Mr. Allan began his law career at the firm of Bull, Housser & Tupper LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. He received a Law Degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 1975, With Distinction. He is admitted to practice in California and in British Columbia. Martin B. Snyder of the Allan Law Group has over 30 years of experience as a litigation attorney. Mr. Snyder is a seasoned trial lawyer, who has tried over 200 cases in State & Federal Court. He also has extensive Mediation, Arbitration, and Appellate experience.

Mr. Snyder's considerable experience in representing individuals and corporations in trial, Arbitration and Appellate levels of the State and Federal courts has proved to be an invaluable combination. Mr. Snyder's previous case responsibilities at Jones & Lester included all facets of complex State and Federal Court litigation, including the drafting of pleadings, preparation of oral arguments and motions. He also has an extensive background in discovery practice, trial preparation as well as trial, post-trial proceedings and appeals.

As the sole litigation associate at Goldfarb, Sturman & Averbach Mr. Snyder had complete case management responsibility for the firm. Subsequently as senior litigation partner at Goldfarb, Sturman & Averbach, Mr. Snyder had supervisory oversight of all associates. He also handled all facets of client representation, from initial interview and fee arrangements through trial and post-trial matters, including appeals in State and Federal Courts.

I've tried over the years to avoid the pitfalls of bad lawyers. I try to be humble, polite and hard working. I never lie to a client. I strive for excellent results for a fair price. I never steal from my clients. A good nightâs sleep is worth far more than ill-gotten gains.

The highest duty of every lawyer is loyalty to his client. A good lawyer returns calls from his clients and works on his cases to move them along as quickly as the court allows.

I show clients what they canât do for themselves. I have 40 years of experience winning cases and studying the law. A good reputation builds good referrals from my clients.

Most lawyers are incredibly greedy. There are many who lose their licenses to practice law every month because theyâve cheated and stolen from their clients. They have no moral values or pride in their work. Each client is a new victim of their insatiable drive to become wealthy. They are never trusted by the Court, other lawyers or even by their own clients.

A clientâs trust is achieved by telling the truth, being honest and building a reputation for hard work and successful results. My clients trust me because Iâve been treating clients properly and fairly for forty years. Even if it demands that I tell them the bad news on their case. I often do charity work for clients who cannot pay me a fee. I believe that a lawyerâs time and knowledge are his stock and trade. They have nothing else to sell. A humble, polite, hard working attorney is an attorney that you can trust. I never talk down to my clients. They can understand the law if it is clearly explained to them.

I make my clients my helpers in winning their cases. If they understand the problems and the options they can see the correct path to success.

I hire honest experts in accounting, business, medicine and law. Honest clients and honest experts build character in an honest attorney. Lawyers that deal with dishonest people soon become dishonest themselves.
