Kenyan McDuffie is the Principal of the Law Offices of Kenyan R. McDuffie, PLLC. Mr. McDuffie graduated summa cum laude from Howard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Community Development. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor of The University of Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class, and research assistant to then-Professor Tom Perez, now Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice. During law school, Mr. McDuffie interned for a judge at District of Columbia Superior Court as well as with the District of Columbia Public Defender Service and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Between college and law school, Mr. McDuffie worked on the staff of Eleanor Holmes Norton, the District of Columbia’s Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mr. McDuffie is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Washington Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

David was born and raised in Baltimore. He attended Calvert Hall College High School and Graduated from Towson University with a B.A. in International Studies. After spending over 5 years as a Securities Analyst for a Fortune 500 Financial Firm, he attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school David was a student attorney for three semesters with the University's Family Law Clinic. There, he argued cases for economically disadvantaged clients in the District Court, Circuit Court, and the Court of Special Appeals. David also participated in a campaign to reform Maryland's Domestic Violence laws, and was part of a delegation that testified before the General Assembly to change those laws. During his time in law school, David also interned for the Honorable Wanda Keyes Heard at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and for a Towson Firm, Warnken, LLC.

After graduating with a Juris Doctor from Law School, David was selected to clerk for Special Master Andrea F. Kelly at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Family Law Division. After his clerkship, he was recruited by his former law school professor Byron L. Warnken to be attorney-in-charge of Warnken, LLC's Family Law and Worker's Compensation Practices.

In 2010, David decided to pursue his dream of opening his own law firm. He believed that in starting his own law practice, he could more effectively represent his client's varied legal needs. Today David focuses on Family Law, Worker's Compensation Claims, Criminal Law, Estate Planning, Law Enforcement Officer's Bill of Rights (LEOBR), and general civil matters. Mr. Burkhouse is currently an associate at Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. His practice includes labor and employment litigation, education law, appellate law, and business litigation. As an active member of the HPK Education and School law practice, Mr. Burkhouse has litigated cases for a number of the firm's school board clients in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, as well as the State of Maryland's Circuit and District Courts. In addition Mr. Burkhouse routinely participates in administrative proceedings before the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings involving claims under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

As part of Mr. Burkhouse's employment law practice he counsels and represents employers regarding employment discrimination claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967. Mr. Burkhouse also advises employers with regard to non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, arbitration agreements, trade secrets, confidentiality agreements, and employee hiring and termination procedures.

Prior to joining HPK, Mr. Burkhouse served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Dennis M. Sweeney and the Honorable Timothy J. McCrone in the Circuit Court for Howard County. Larry N. Burch, is a highly successful trial attorney and the managing partner of The Law Office of Baker and Burch (located in Greenbelt and Towson, Maryland). He has represented clients in civil, criminal and military courts throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia and in the federal courts.

After graduating one of the nation's top 20 law schools(where he was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Board), Mr. Burch served as a Judicial Clerk in The Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland.

Mr. Burch served as a Judge Advocate in the Navy where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding work as a trial attorney. He successfully defended clients accused of rape, espionage, fraud, and numerous other crimes. He also represented an officer who sought to challenge the Navy's ban on homosexuality.

Several of his military cases were documented in the national media as well as on local television. He served as Senior Defense Attorney for the Navy's trial defense unit in Washington, D.C. where he supervised and military trained trial attorneys. He was also named Department Head for the Navy's Legal Assistance offices in the Washington, D.C. area. Currently, he holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

After leaving the Navy, Mr. Burch began a solo practice which became The Law Office of Burch & Burch-Rates, LLC. The firm participated in obtaining a million-dollar settlement for a Maryland telecommunications business in international litigation against the Norwegian national telephone company. Mr. Burch represented a client who received a jury award exceeding $1 million dollars.

In 2008, Rushern Baker (former member of the Maryland House of Delegates) joined Larry Burch and together they formed The Law Office of Baker & Burch. The law firm represents client in general litigation including personal injury and medical malpractice, family law, criminal and civil cases as well as military law matters.
