My practice involves counseling individuals, businesses, tax-exempt organizations and governmental entities in tax, employee benefits and estate planning matters. I advise employers, participants, trusts, administrators and service providers in connection with ERISA plans, including for retirement, health care, disabilty insurance, life insurance and severance benefits. I counsel employers, as well as employees, in the design and implementation of non-qualified executive compensation programs, including both equity and non-equity compensation, and I have substantial experience representing clients before federal agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School, and earned a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. In addition, I have degrees from Michigan State University (M.S., physics) and Oakland University (B.S., physics, magna cum laude). I am a member of the American Bar Association and its Tax Section, and I am admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan.
