Craig David Becker, Esquire practices Education Law and Criminal Defense. He practices Special Education Law, representing students who have been denied an appropriate and effective education. He also represents students in disciplinary actions. In addition, Mr. Becker represents adults and juveniles in all facets of criminal defense. He represents clients throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Craig David Becker, Esq. received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the recipient of a James Wilson Merit Scholarship. Mr. Becker began representing individuals while still attending law school and won his first not guilty verdict and suppression motion prior to graduation.

He is a former Assistant Public Defender for Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he represented defendants in high profile felony cases and other serious offenses. Mr. Becker also worked in the Public Defender Office's Juvenile Division, where he represented minors in all facets of juvenile criminal law. After leaving the Public Defender's Office, Mr. Becker worked as an associate for top New Jersey and Pennsylvania law firms, including one firm that represented several New Jersey school districts.

Mr. Becker is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Camden County Bar Association, the Burlington County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar Association's Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee, the Cherry Hill Special Education Parent Teacher Association and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. Mr. Becker and his family live in Southern New Jersey. He is actively involved in the South Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania communities and with national and local issues regarding Special Education and Criminal Defense.

Mr. Becker has appeared as a guest on the television show Legally Speaking on the topics of Special Education Law and Criminal Defense.

In addition to maintaining his own firm, Mr. Becker is Of Counsel to the law firm of Gerstein Grayson & Cohen, LLP in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Mr. Becker represents clients throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Mount Holly, Voorhees, Marlton, Mount Laurel, King of Prussia, Media, Jenkintown, West Chester, and Philadelphia.

Most people in the Philadelphia area remember Dave as the morning weatherman on Channel 6-ABC. Dave's broadcasting career spanned four decades and included Emmy® awards for his work as a reporter and news writer. Dave has been a news anchor, investigative reporter, and contributor to the ESPN newsmagazine Outside the Lines.

Dave began his legal career at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads in Philadelphia. As an attorney, he has represented broadcasters and other creative professionals, negotiating their contracts at every level of the industry, from local news to national networks. As a civil litigator, Dave serves clients in government and business, as well as individuals. His First Amendment defense work includes representing both broadcasters and publishers.

Dave frequently uses his background in journalism and media to guide his clients through their interactions with the news media, whether getting their message out or managing a public legal crisis. Dave has been an adjunct professor of Contract Drafting at Villanova Law School and currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bar Associations, and serves as a court-appointed Arbitrator in Montgomery County.

Dave's passion for public service focuses on education and the needs of children. He is a spokesman for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, the pediatric cancer fundraiser begun by Alex Scott. Dave helped establish the Magnolia School for Autistic Children and served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Philadelphia and the Radnor Educational Foundation.

Dave graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Government. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. Dave is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
