I have substantial litigation and trial experience in the Family and Supreme Courts, and have briefed and argued appeals in the Appellate Division.

I also represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.

In addition, I represent clients in civil and commercial litigation, criminal and real estate matters.

Emanuel N. Mouganis has a reputation for providing quality legal services in New York, particularly in Monroe and surrounding counties. Emanuel N. Mouganis received a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law and has also received a LL.M. of Criminal Law from SUNY Buffalo Law School. While in both law and graduate school, Emanuel N. Mouganis was elected to the Student Bar Association.

In 2004, Emanuel N. Mouganis was nominated for a Judicial Clerkship in Criminal Circuit Court. Between 2005 and 2007, Emanuel N. Mouganis served three years as a law clerk for the State and Federal government, handling hundreds of criminal and civil cases in both the trial and appellate divisions.

Since 2008, Emanuel N. Mouganis has been the principal attorney in his own law firm, The Law Office of Emanuel N. Mouganis, which concentrates in both criminal and civil litigation. Emanuel N. Mouganis is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida, and has tried and settled numerous civil cases for his clients. A particular area of concentration for Emanuel N. Mouganis in civil practice has been in personal injury litigation. In the criminal defense field, Emanuel N. Mouganis has worked on approximately 5 first degree murder cases. Emanuel N. Mouganis was born and raised in Brockport, New York. Emanuel N. Mouganis graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2000.

Jennifer P Stergion, Esq. was the founding Chair of the Erie County Bar Association's Committee on Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Issues. She is the current Secretary of that Bar Association Committee and a member of the Bar's Family Law Practice and Procedure Committee. Jennifer has a Bacheolor's degree in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Criminal Justice, and a J.D. with dual concentrations in International Law and Civil Litigation. She is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, is a Department of Veterans Affairs accredited attorney, and admitted to the Appellate Division, 4th Department of the State of New York. The recipient of the 2008 Erie County Volunteer Lawyer's Project Attorney of the Morning Pro Bono Award and the 2009 New York State Bar Association President's Award for Young Lawyer Pro Bono Service, she has made a commitment to providing free legal services for the underrepresented, particularly in the areas of veterans and housing law. Jennifer is also a recipient of a 2007 New York State Bar Association Law School Ethics award. She has taught or moderated, pro bono, CLE courses in Veterans Benefits in Monroe and Erie Counties. A solo practitioner, is on the Board of Directors for Western New York Veterans Housing Coalition, a co-mentor for the University at Buffalo School of Law Armed Forces Student Organization and is active with her parish council. Jennifer resides in Buffalo, New York with her daughter, Valerie.

I graduated from Cornell College of Arts and Sciences in 1967 and started law school at Cornell School of Law but received notice that I was going to be drafted so I enlisted in the US Navy for 4 years and served as an administrative type person with the Naval Security Group at the headquarters in Washington DC and while there too law courses at night at Georgetown University and when I got out of the Navy I returned to Cornell and graduated in 1975.
