Community Law Program, Inc. (CLP) is a non-profit corporation formed in 1990 by members of the St. Petersburg Bar Association concerned about the civil legal needs of low income residents of South Pinellas County, Florida, USA.

To qualify for free legal services, clients income must be at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The CLP has recruited a panel of approximately 400 St. Petersburg area attorneys who provide free assistance to thousands of poor people in need of free civil legal assistance each year.

Clients must either be referred from a Community Law Cinic or outreach project for placement with a volunteer attorney for legal representation. The program strives to place as many cases as possible. In addition to arranging for the handling of pro bono cases, the program arranges for a variety of ongoing outreach by volunteer attorneys at various sites throughout the community.

Individuals served must meet financial eligibility requirements and must live South of Ulmerton Road in Pinellas County. Financial requirements (125% of Federal Poverty Guidelines) are determined by household income and asset information.
