Attorney Ron Murphy is a 1983 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and the owner and principal trial lawyer of Advocates Law Firm. I am 43 years old and have lived in Avon, Connecticut my entire life. My practice is centered around personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Competitive sports were the spring board for a career in litigation. I have been a competitive athlete as long as I remember and was the only athlete in the State to earn All State Honors in two sports in 1983: Track and Field and Soccer. I have coached girls soccer for six years, earned a "D" coaching license and earned three State Championships at the youth level, Currently I race for a NASTAR team at Ski Sundown and sponsor local youth teams in New Britian and Berlin and have been a team member/walker and major contributor to the American Breast Cancer Association for the last four years. LAW IS MUCH LIKE SORTS. Success in trial or at the negotiating table takes preparation, desire, commitment and skill. My entire staff of employees exude these attributes. My office recently found a a new home in a beautiful 1890 Victorian in Walnut Hill Park in New Britain. Family: my daughter, Blair, was voted by the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association to the 2008 All-New England team and is the Pre-Season pick for Hartford Courant Player of the Year for 2009.

Collin Udell's appellate practice focuses on United States Supreme Court litigation and on complex or novel issues arising in other federal appeals. In the last year, Collin participated in three cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and successfully opposed petitions for writs of certiorari filed with the Supreme Court in two other cases. Her background in federal appellate practice has allowed her to represent clients in a wide variety of appeals, including matters involving financial services, bankruptcy, labor and employment, intellectual property, securities, environmental litigation, complex commercial litigation, civil rights, and the First Amendment.

Collin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Bruce M. Selya at the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit, the Honorable Jose A. Cabranes at the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and the Honorable Robert N. Chatigny at the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut.

Collin has also taught criminal law at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

John Serrano, Esquire, is the senior partner of Serrano & Serrano, LLC. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Connecticut School of Law, Attorney Serrano argues cases before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts and tries civil and criminal cases in Connecticut Superior Court, U.S. District Court and Bankruptcy Court.

Attorney Serrano established the law firm of Serrano & Serrano, LLC in 1994 with Gabriel R. Serrano, Esquire, a 1991 graduate of Hofstra Law School. The firm represents clients throughout Connecticut from a main office in West Hartford and a satellite office in the Waterbury suburb of Naugatuck.

Born in Portugal, Attorney Serrano immigrated to the United States by ocean liner in 1960. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish.

I handle a wide variety of transactional corporate and securities law matters for institutional and individual investors, investment funds and their managers, as well as for public and private operating companies.
