The Free Legal Aid Clinic, Inc. is partnered with Wayne State University Law School, the Elder Law and Advocacy Center, and Lakeshore Legal Aid to assist and represent indigent people in family law and elder law matters in Wayne County, Michigan. The Clinic assists clients from the beginning of their case through the end, including credit collection, garnishment, mortgage foreclosure, social security, landlord/tenant, life planning, divorce, and custody matters. The Clinic also offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in a clinical setting, while helping indigent people in Detroit at the same time.
