Gene Takagi is a San Francisco–based attorney whose practice focuses on corporate and tax issues affecting nonprofit organizations. Sean began his legal career with a large law firm in Denver, Colorado, where he represented numerous high technology enterprises in mergers and acquisitions, business planning, technology licensing, and intellectual property management, counseling and enforcement. Sean additionally enjoyed an extensive state and federal litigation and arbitration practice.

Eventually, Sean moved in-house with Sun Microsystems, Inc., where he ultimately became Assistant General Counsel. In this role, Sean was responsible for software and technology licensing and alliances for Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, as an expatriate in Tokyo.

In 2001, Sean joined the wireless and consumer software venture Aplix Corporation, also based in Tokyo, as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs. Sean facilitated the company's international growth and eventual IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2003. In addition to his General Counsel role, Sean managed, as President and Chief Operating Officer, the company's United States and European subsidiaries in San Francisco and Munich, from 2004 to 2006.

Sean is based in the firm's San Rafael, California office, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Antone Johnson has more than 13 years experience as a business lawyer representing technology and media companies, entrepreneurs and investors in a wide range of corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters. Antone has deep roots in the consumer Internet and digital media industries, having served as Corporate Counsel to pioneering broadband Internet content and access provider Excite@Home (Nasdaq: ATHM) from 2000 to 2002 and entertainment guidance technology leader Gemstar-TV Guide (Nasdaq: GMST) from 2002 to 2004. He joined Intermix Media, Inc. (AMEX: MIX) as Assistant General Counsel in 2004 and served as Director of Business & Legal Affairs at its MySpace.com subsidiary during its period of hyper-growth and global expansion, culminating in the company's $650 million sale to Fox Interactive Media. Prior to Excite@Home, Antone spent four years in private practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the world's preeminent technology law firm, and the Los Angeles office of Wall Street firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. He represented emerging growth technology companies and financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures, technology and content licensing transactions and general corporate matters.

He enjoys motorcycle travels, slow food, music from bluegrass to folk, jazz to classical, rough playing with his two white German Shepherds, and coaching youth sports.
