I was born and raised in Wyoming. I started Cates, Hanson, Sargeant & Rakestraw, PLC in 1997 and I am currently the managing partner. I practice primarily in the area of Criminal Defense. I travel throughout Arizona representing clients in various criminal matters, including Murder, Manslaughter, Negligent Homicide, Assault, Aggravated Assault, all drug crimes including transportation for sale of large quantities of cocaine and marijuana. I travel to Kingman, Yuma, Prescott, Holbrook, Bisbee, Flagstaff. any court in Ariozna.

I grew up in Winona, Minnesota. I received my undergraduate degrees at Indiana University-Bloomington (B.A. History and B.S. Music). My clients like me because I am results-oriented, and I am able to come up with practical and efficient solutions to difficult situations.

My father died when I was 16, and my mom was in a very difficult financial situation as a result. Both of my parents had been business owners, but once my father passed away, my mom was not able to juggle everything. The result was financial hardship and several years of my mom working two full-time jobs simultaneously. I want to use my personal experiences to help families avoid financial losses and family discord when a loved one dies.

Mr. Langley has been a coverage attorney and insurance defense litigator since 1973, having attained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco Law School. He is actively licensed in Arizona and California and has tried in excess of seventy jury trial in federal and state courts including several first party bad faith, serious injury, wrongful death, professional liability, and punitive damages cases. His most recent trial in Arizona involved a False Light Invasion of Privacy and Intentional Interference of Business Relationships case. He has diversified expertise in construction defect, property, fraud, arson and coverage matters including examinations under oath and appraisals, as well as in estate planning. He is also a licensed civil engineer in the State of California.

Mr. Langley is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Bar Association, Arizona and California Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, and the Maricopa County and Scottsdale Bar Associations. He has presented at various continuing education courses and seminars including the ABA and the Property Loss Research Bureau. In 2004 he was featured in Law Technology News regarding his successful defense of a brain injury trial in Santa Monica, California.

Robert H. Kleinschmidt earned his B.S. degree in 1979 from the University of Illinois and his J.D. degree in 1982 from the John Marshall Law School. With 25 years of litigation experience, he is an accomplished trial attorney who focuses his practice in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Birth Injury, Surgical Error; and other serious injuries caused by the negligence of others. He has a passion for children and served for several years as the Chairman of the Board of Gompers Rehabilitation Center, a rehabilitation center for seriously disabled children and adults.

He is a published author with The Arizona Trial Lawyers Association on "The Right to Videotape Depositions". He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona; the Maricopa County and Scottsdale Bar Associations; The American Association for Justice (formerly known as The Association of Trial Lawyers of America) where he is a member of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, Professional Negligence Group, and the Nursing Home Litigation Group; the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association; and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum - Top Trial Lawyers in AmericaTM. James L. Cork II is admitted to practice before all Courts in the State of Arizona and the United States District Court, District of Arizona. Mr. Cork holds a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law (2007) where he graduated Cum Laude and on the National Dean's List. Mr. Cork also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University (2003).

Mr. Cork has worked at the Department of Defense Criminal Investigative Services where he assisted in the development of evidence files to be used in court, analyzed case files in a variety of different criminal cases, conducted research and helped prepare documents and discovery. In addition, Mr. Cork worked at the Law Office of Brian Burkett in San Diego, California. His work there was focused on Family Law, Probate, and Personal Injury cases.

In January 2008, Mr. Cork opened his own law practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Cork has recently opened a second office location in Glendale, AZ to better assist his West Valley clients. Craig is an experienced attorney who handles court hearings and trials as well as legal counsel for businesses and individuals. His practice focuses on business law, commercial and business litigation, family & divorce law, real estate & construction law, wills, trusts & estate planning, and Internet law.

Prior to founding Boates & Crump in 2002 Craig worked at a small general practice firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During that practice he represented many individual and business clients and also served as a City Attorney handling civil matters and prosecution for a suburb of Minneapolis.

Craig is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and received a business degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Craig lives in Anthem, Arizona with his wife and three children. Craig is very involved in the Anthem community and enjoys living and working in the Phoenix North Valley.

I am a Certified Criminal Law Specialist by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization, and have been practicing law for over 15 years. I specialize in serious and complex criminal litigation, and have tried over 300 cases in my career. I am admitted to practice in all Arizona courts - state and federal.

I have practiced family law in Arizona and Nebraska. The laws across the nation are vastly different based on the community in which you practice. However, there is a marked trend across the nation to move away from the litigious practice of family law. Courts and family law organizations are beginning to offer a much wider and more encompassed approach to training all areas of family law in a manner that encourages settlement. Not just a settlement that keeps the parties out of Court, but a settlement that puts into place a realistic parenting plan, financial structure and maintenance provisions. The hope, and the philosophy that I have adopted for my practice, is that families can continue to operate as functional units despite the life-changing process of divorce. Children can continue to feel like their parents communicate for their best interest, and the parents can feel that they are equally valued in making decisions for their children. There is a better way to "cut the ties" and I welcome the opportunity to focus my practice on this apporach.

Steve German has been practicing law in Arizona since 1993, and is also licensed (currently inactive-status) in Ohio. Steve spent six years employed at a large law firm in Phoenix, Arizona.

In 1999, Steve started his own law firm, devoting his practice to protecting individual rights. His clients are victims of insurance companies that refuse to pay long-term disability benefits, victims (and surviving families) of rollover and tread-separation accidents, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, and other tort-related incidents.

Beginning in 1999, Steve formed a close allegiance and working relationship with Tab Turner, an Arkansas attorney, who has twice been named national Trial Lawyer of the Year, and who is perhaps best known for his work against Ford (Rollovers) and Firestone (Tread-Separations). That close working relationship continues to this day as together they routinely litigate catastrophic loss claims against Ford, Firestone, Cooper Tire, TRW, and other large corporations that manufacture automobiles and tires.

In 2003, Danny Adelman joined Steve, and together they formed Adelman German, PLC. They have thrived together as a Firm and their practice has grown considerably.

In 2005, Michelle ("MJ") Johnson joined their practice as an up and coming Trial Lawyer, and in 2007, one of Arizona's most prominent attorneys, Robert D. Myers (Hon.), formerly the presiding judge of the Maricopa County Courts, joined Adelman German, PLC, as "Of-Counsel".
