About Mr. Aly Ebrahimzadeh, Esq.:

A former successful Governor's Teaching Fellow public school teacher, college teacher and organic farm-worker, Mr. Aly Ebrahimzadeh, Esq. is a dynamic public interest attorney possessing very successful years of experience working with Plaintiff-side and Non-Profit law firms in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Communities for a Better Environment, Earthjustice, and Education Not Incarceration. In both state and federal courts, Mr. Ebrahimzadeh has worked successfully with colleagues on multi-million dollar cases representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants, high stakes criminal actions, class action lawsuits, complex multiparty actions, very high-conflict divorces, and on social impact litigation and anti-legislation efforts in the public's interest. Further, Mr. Ebrahimzadeh serves as the General Counsel for MaPhone, LLC, a mobile phone software company employing groundbreaking technology in GPS navigation systems and mobile telephony. A bit about Aly, personally: He speaks fluent French, Spanish, Italian, and Farsi, as well as basic German. He has traveled and worked extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and North America. He is a musician, a dancer, a writer, and a visual artist. He enjoys motorcycle travels, slow food, music from bluegrass to folk, jazz to classical, rough playing with his two white German Shepherds, and coaching youth sports. More than anything else, he loves walking in local flower gardens and having quiet picnics with his son.

Our managing attorney Michael L. Mau, Esq. has gained extensive experience as a trial lawyer and advocate for our clients. He has extensive experience in the areas of Construction Law, Real Property and Commercial Litigation, Collections, Business Counseling and Insurance / Surety Defense. He has experience handling cases at all stages of litigation, but unlike many he has successful courtroom trial experience.

Initially he worked and gained a wide variety of experience as an Independent Contract Attorney. He then practiced for five plus years with Simpson, Aherne & Garrity, P.C., a construction law firm with offices in San Mateo and San Francisco. After a shorter stint at McLemore, Collins & Toschi, LLP, an insurance defense firm with offices in Oakland and Santa Rosa, he opened The Mau Law Firm in 1999.

The firm's practice includes substantial work in each of the following areas: drafting, analysis and litigation of commercial, construction, design and real estate contracts; litigating Mechanics Liens and lien release bonds, Stop Notices and release bonds for Stop Notices, and Payment / Performance bond claims; construction bidding and delay claims; substitution hearings; construction defect litigation; debt collection and defense; administrative hearings; license bond claims; real estate law; landlord-tenant counseling and evictions; representation of mobile-home parks; corporate counseling / business forming; and insurance / surety defense. Ms. Moradi's practice focuses on complex dissolution matters and contested custody issues. She has represented clients in issues involving valuation of businesses, stock options, and division of limited partnerships. She has also represented parents in contested custody cases, including move-aways. She has effectively helped clients at all stages of the process, from mediation to settlement conferences to trial.


Ms. Moradi's combination of business acumen, litigation experience, and negotiation skills enable her to generate tailored, effective solutions unique to each client. After graduating from Cornell Law School, Ms. Moradi was a litigator at one of the nation's top law firms, Reed Smith. At Reed Smith, she represented businesses in high-stakes litigation including contract, corporate, real estate, and trade secret disputes.

Prior to founding Moradi Saslaw, Ms. Moradi practiced at Hanson Crawford Family Law Group, where she specialized in dissolution matters involving complex financial and custody issues.

Ms. Moradi has received over 150 hours of mediation/negotiation training. She has also served as a pro bono mediator in several courts and for the California Academy of Mediation Professionals.

Ms. Moradi is an active volunteer at Full Circle Fund, a philanthropy organization comprised of individuals supporting non-profits, both financially and with consulting (www.fullcirclefund.org).
