The Law Offices of C.D. Cowan, P.C. was formed in *1995. Initially, the firm concentrated on Plaintiff's representation in General Negligence cases and Texas Workers' Compensation claims. Over the last 14 plus years the firm has expanded its' traditional "Plaintiff's Only" practice to include representation in Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, F.E.L.A. (Railroad Employee injury cases), F.L.S.A. (Fair Labor Standards Act) and other general Labor Law issues. Mr. Cowan is a fifth generation native East Texan born in Tyler, Smith County, Texas on June 14, 1958. Mr. Cowan was raised primarily in Longview, Texas and Texarkana, Texas before his family relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1969.

He is admitted for the practice by The State Bar of Texas (1990); The United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas (1991) and The United States Court Of Appeals, Fifth Circuit (2008) and is a member of all the following organizations: Smith County Bar Association; American Bar Association; State Bar of Texas; American Association for Justice; Texas Trial Lawyers Association; East Texas Trial Lawyers Association and The T. John Ward Inn of Court.

*Since 1991, Mr. Cowan has represented or counseled over 3000 claimants in and under the Texas Workers Compensation administrative scheme and over 1000 personal injury plaintiffs with State and Federal Court claims.
