About Stanley Santire

Stanley P. Santire is managing principal of the Santire Law Firm. Assisting clients in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, he emphasizes employment matters, business transactions, and construction issues. As Associate Editor of the Labor and Employment Law Section Newsletter, he analyzes current court decisions for members of the State Bar of Texas. His favorite professional honor is âExecutive of the Yearâ award for service as legal counsel for Lockheed Aircraft International.

He is credentialed as an advanced mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.

An active national speaker for management professionals, he has spoken for audiences in forty-seven states in the United States and given talks on three continents. He has lectured at Yale University, University of Alabama, University of Houston, South Texas College of Law, and Rice University.

The Construction Law Journal is published bi-annually by the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. This article appeared in the Summer 2007 issu, Volume 5, Number 1. Using a 5th Circuit Court of Appeals case, Stanley Santire showed how lack of articulation in the permit process can result in an enormous loss of time translating into a loss of money for a developer.
