| Poetry Where You Live is a state of mind, believing that, like God's grace, poetry is where you live, not something you have to seek out in some distant place. The beauty of nature, the faith that sustains us, the smile of our daughters, the love that we share, these are all subjects of my poetry. I came to poetry later in life, starting to write at 40; but many would say I have caught up for lost time. Since I graduated from law school and got married in 2004, I have written and posted over 3,600 poems, 1,400 of those in the last year alone. The poems live in the ether, all over the internet, in the over 14,000 copies I have posted and in a number of both authorized and unauthorized uses. I have been truly humbled by the responses I have received to this gift from God. I have tried to be faithful to the call to write, to share, to spread the good news truly to the ends of the earth. People from over 165 countries have read Poetry Where You Live (www.raymondafoss.blogspot.com). I hope you enjoy this first installation of my sharing of these words of grace in book form. I hope these words bring joy, love, peace, and belief to a troubled world. We need all of God's grace we can get. --Raymond A. Foss |
