: Current; Activities: Mr. Ramos has received several civic awards, including the Leon J. Obermayer Award for 2000, the annual Puerto Rican Festival"s Citizen of the Year Award for 2000, the Philadelphia Education Fund Giving Forward Award for 2002, and the 2008 J.T. Canales Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Michigan LLSA. Mr. Ramos is an Eisenhower Exchange Fellow, having focused on early childhood education policy in France. A survey by Leadership Philadelphia recently identified Mr. Ramos as one of the region's top "connectors," defined as those who connect for the common good.
