Ms. Ross is an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University, School of Law, teaching corporate governance and business ethics/compliance. In 2010 she garnered a respectable showing running as a first-time candidate for the Rhode Island State Senate.
Miriam has a private mediation practice offering impartial mediation services to the legal and business communities for the resolution of commercial and business disputes. Miriam has served as a mediator in a wide variety of cases, including commercial and contract disputes, construction, environmental, business partnerships and employment matters.
Miriam is one of six chairs (and only female chair) of the RI Small Business Economic Summit sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and RI Small Business Development Corporation at Johnson & Wales University. Miriam is an active member of Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE), RI Chapter (a business advocacy organization) and its government affairs committee. Miriam is on the Continuing Education and Business Organization Committees of the Rhode Island Bar Association. Miriam also serves on several non-profit community boards.
