About Lourdes Curbelo
I have been in the law practice since the 2000. I worked as state prosecutor for the Puerto Rico Justice Department. During my years as prosecutor I assisted to seminars about domestic violence, child abuse, and child's internet crimes. I went to Austin, Texas; Charlotte, South Carolina; and Virgina. I was in charge of the "Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Unit" the Arecibo's Prosecutor District Office. I worked as coordinator since 2001 until October 2006. As prosecutor I investigated crime scenes and prosecute cases. Also I worked a lot of criminal cases. In 2006, I opened my own legal office in the town of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. In our office we work in civil cases, like collection, property, and heritage. Also we have a broad knowledge in family law, like divorces, custody, parental relations, child support, and alimony. We have been working cases of child support in which one of the parent its living in one of the states of the United States, which is called "Interstates child support".

I had been the coordinator of the "Domestic violence, sex crimes, and child abuse" of the Arecibo's District office for 5 years.

I investigated all kind of crimes, specially domestic violence, sex crimes, and child abuse. I also have to be on call 24 hours for 7 days a week 4 times in the year to investigate the cases of 9 towns.
Special Prosecutor, Puerto Rico's Justice Department
I had to investigated and prosecute domestic violence cases, sex crime cases, and child abuse cases.
