About Jim Eagar

Jim is an estate planning attorney at Legacy Estate Planning, LLC, serving the Rogue Valley including Medford and Grants Pass. Jim custom crafts wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives for his clients.

Jim recently retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel, having served over 33 years as a Judge Advocate and Chaplain. He lives in the Rogue Valley with his best friend and wife of 36 years, Lanette. Jim enjoys hiking, backpacking, and traveling to the redwoods and ocean.

As a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Jim completed an intensive 6-month training program in estate planning, and is continually updating his knowledge and skills through the Network’s formal programs. Jim uses his counseling and legal skills in the LegacyBuilder Three-Step Strategy Process to create unique estate plans, fully fund the plans, keep them up to date, and provide appropriate assistance to families when there is a death or disability.
