About Jason Edward Havens

Jason E. Havens is the managing attorney/member of Havens & Miller, P.L.L.C. His private law practice focuses on complex estate and charitable gift planning for affluent individuals and families and on behalf of charitable organizations. He is board certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates Law by The Florida Bar and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Havens received his LL.M. in International Taxation (Emphasis: International Estate Planning & Asset Protection Law) from Regent University School of Law, his LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law, his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Lipscomb University. In 1997, he created Legal Research for Estate Planners (LREP), a personal website that is recognized as one of the premier Internet sites on estate planning.

Mr. Havens is an active member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, and various sections, councils, and committees on estate planning. He has lectured at various programs on estate planning, including the 37th annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and the 24th annual Southern California Tax & Estate Planning Forum. He was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in American Law in the fields of estate planning, probate, and estate taxation and of Who's Who in America.
