: Current; Activities: Mr. Simpson is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Appellate Section; the Houston Bar Association (serving in the Appellate Advocacy Section, Fee Dispute Committee, Senior Forum; and as Editor In Chief of The Houston Lawyer, 2008-2009); the Association of Attorney-Mediators ("Distinguished" by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association); the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the Society of Petroleum Engineers (retired); Beta Gamma Sigma; Beta Alpha Psi, and an Alumnus of KPMG Peat Marwick. He served four years (panel chair) on the State Bar Grievance Committee; four years (panel chair) on the City of Houston Buildings & Standards Commission (Houston Police Dept.); as an active Investigator for the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Supreme Court of Texas; and as a pro bono mediator with the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center where he was honored in 2006 for outstanding service.

: Current; Activities: From 1974 to 1978, Mr. Simpson was General Campaign Chairman for the funding of a new full-service facility for the Y.M.C.A. of Greater Los Angeles. He served two terms on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee which disciplines lawyers; as Commissioner on the Building and Standards Commission for the City of Houston, dedicated to improving the quality of urban living; and as an active Investigator for the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Supreme Court of Texas. He continues to serve as pro bono mediator on family law matters and commercial and tort lawsuits at the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.
