| DOUGLAS D. DEPEW is the Senior Partner with the Depew Law Firm in Neodesha, Kansas. He graduated from Washburn University in 1977 (B.B.A.) and Washburn Law School in 1980. He has served as President of the Southeast Kansas Bar Association, the Thirty First Judicial District Bar Association and the Wilson County Bar Association. Mr. Depew has served as Neodesha City Attorney since 1983 and has also served as Acting Wilson County Attorney, Special Assistant Wilson County Attorney, Special Prosecutor for Wilson County and Municipal Judge pro tem for the City of Fredonia. The majority of his practice consists of representing consumer and small business debtors throughout Southeast Kansas in bankruptcy court. He has over 28 years experience handling bankruptcy cases and has lectured on bankruptcy topics for the Allen County Bar Association, Four County Bankers Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, National Business Institute, Southeast Kansas Bar Association, Thirty-First Judicial District Bar Association and the Wilson County Bar Association. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) since 1993. In 2004 he was selected by the bankruptcy judges in Kansas to serve on the first Kansas Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Committee.
