- In Australia, Catherine represented a wide variety of companies in strategic sales and acquisitions. Her practice included being part of the teams representing: Yarra Trams in the AUD $1.3 billion refranchising of the Melbourne metropolitan tram system; SPC Ardmona – a large Australian food manufacturer – in its acquisition of the Australian business of the JM Smucker Company; and the Victorian state government in the AUD $1.8 billion public/private partnership tender process for the construction of the Mitcham-Frankston freeway. Catherine’s practice at Ropes Gray has, to date, concentrated on acquisitions for private equity clients in the retail and IT sectors.
