About Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas
About this Organization:
The Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas (AAA), under the federal Older Americans Act, is administratively responsible for the development of a comprehensive and coordinated system of services for the population over age 60. The AAA serves as the leaders, chief advocate and focal point for aging services in Central Texas. Older persons, their families and caregivers face a complicated array of choices and decisions about health and long-term care, social services, income security, insurance, public entitlements, available benefits and housing options. Fragmentation among health and human service agencies adds further to consumer confusion and frustration. To support the ability for consumers to make informed choices and decisions, the AAA directly provides specialized services called Access and Assistance. Access and Assistance include the following services: Information and Assistance, Benefits Counseling, Case Management, and Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
Restrictions:
Services provided for senior residents of Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills and San Saba counties.
